The Bloom Experience

THE BLOOM EXPERIENCE

At Bloom Fine Arts for Preschoolers we create enriching experiences for each child in a safe, supportive, nurturing and respectful environment.  We believe that children blossom most when participating in programs that emphasize the arts as part of their early childhood education. With a professional curriculum centered around the arts (music, art and theater), we provide developmentally appropriate activities that promote intellectual, social, emotional and physical development, aiming to prepare your little one for Kindergarten and beyond.

We also have an offering for the little, little ones! Sprouts is a grown-up and me art and music class for our youngest crew (18 months - 3 years). A place where together, we will explore our own little bit of magic and wonder through art, music and movement. Every month we will have a new theme to explore and learn about!

At Bloom, your child will be welcomed into a positive and nurturing environment by our compassionate, dedicated and incredibly gifted teachers. Join us and watch your child bloom into a capable, confident, creative and caring human being!

The Day-to-Day

Our Academic Year (September - May) program is designed to be a 2-day per week creative fine arts educational program for preschoolers (ages 3 and 4). Families may choose a Monday/Wednesday program or a Tuesday/Thursday program. We can also accommodate families seeking a 4-day program (Monday - Thursday). The program runs from 8:30am - 11:30am. Snack is provided.

A typical morning at Bloom includes table/circle time, center time (songs, math, science, writing), movement, art, music and drama!  For a more detailed glimpse, take a peek at this sample curriculum.

Sprouts will be held once a week during the Academic Year (September - May) from 9:00am-10:00am on Friday mornings.

Why Choose Bloom?

Through hands-on, meaningful experiences in the arts, children at Bloom are able to explore the world via their inherent and natural curiosities; the arts truly provide a playground for the mind.

During their time with us they will explore curriculum-based instruction that emphasizes student socialization and character building, creative movement and exercise, creative thinking and problem solving, hands-on learning activities and they will focus on fine motor skills, colors, shapes, the alphabet, name recognition, writing, calendar, weather, numbers counting and more. They will also explore music, art, dance and theater!

Another delightful benefit of choosing Bloom is that we create an environment where preschool friendships blossom. These early friendships are helpful in developing social and emotional skills, increasing a sense of belonging and awareness and decreasing stress.

Meet Gwen!

Gwen believes that music, art, and theater are the heartbeat of life itself.

Bringing a balance of trust and love to everything she does, Gwen has learned to give lots of space for growth; to let each child develop in their own time and on their own path. She believes in letting children learn through play, through laughter and through love.

Gwen brings a wealth of early education history to us! She’s been involved in multiple teaching roles in the Lake Country area theaters — designing programs, writing shows and intensives for multiple children’s theaters. She also directs and musical directs for local schools and area summer programs.

Gwen has spent many years working in the 4K program in the Pewaukee School District. She also brings experience as a Lead Teacher for Gymboree Play and Music, where she helped lead their music program to be one of the top in the nation.
Gwen also has a music studio where she teaches voice, ukulele, and piano to students — starting at age 5! Gwen also owned The Lumpy Pumpkin, a grown-up and me program which offered art and music classes for little ones.

Gwen lives in Pewaukee and has been married to her wonderful husband, Trent, for over 20 years. They have two beautiful boys together! Gwen is over-the-moon excited to begin our Bloom time together! Let the magic and fun begin!
