When signing up for classes, please sign up for the age level that your child is on September 1st. To maintain consistency, dancers should remain in each age level for one academic year. Level placement is ultimately up to the teachers. If at any time a teacher feels that a child should be placed into a different level or age group, the teacher or studio will contact the parent.

Petite Pas is a ballet school exclusively focused on laying an age-appropriate foundation of ballet, with dashes of whimsy and magic to boys and girls from 18 months to 12 years of age.
Our Academic Year program runs from September - June. During the Academic Year the cost of tuition is $75 - $185 a month depending on the division and is automatically charged on the first of each month. Tuition includes your child's weekly class and scheduled make-up classes. Cancellation of your enrollment at any time is understood because "life happens." Remember, we are ALWAYS enrolling so you can begin at any time! Families will be charged a one-time $15 registration fee for each Academic Year.
Pay ahead - we offer bi-yearly and annual discounts for paying your tuition in advance, please contact us for more information!
Refer a friend - because nothing is more fun than twirling on your toes with a friend! For every friend referred to Petite Pas Ballet School, your child will receive a one time $25 tuition credit after their friend is enrolled for three months or more!
Sibling discounts - if you have more than one child registered at the school, we will provide a 10% discount for additional family members. This offer is not available for the Adult Ballet classes.
Oh, boy do we ever! We don’t like to call it a recital for many reasons, the main one being, it is a showcase! It is called our End-of-Year Showcase and is one of the most magical experiences for everyone (dancers, teachers and audience members). What makes it so magical? Well, it is designed to showcase our student’s love for ballet, the movements they learned through the year to an audience filled (and we mean filled – as it sells out every year and fast) with loved ones. Our showcase is performed at various local theaters and/or school auditoriums with big stages and plenty of seats!
Also, here is something that makes it even more awesome for parents … we do not charge recital fees. In fact, the only cost incurred during our End-of-Year-Showcase is the price of tickets for you and all your loved ones to watch your ballerina! This showcase is a gift from Petite Pas Ballet to the students and parents to showcase our appreciation for choosing us to teach their littles classical ballet.
Oh, and we don’t charge costume fees. Nope, and not only do we not charge costume fees but we HAND MAKE each and every single costume, head piece, prop and more. It’s like we have a workshop of magical fairies – but we don’t – it is just Valerie and sometimes some amazing sewing fairies who build each and every costume to help showcase our little dancer, tell the story of their dance and to produce some of the BEST photos parent’s can cherish for a lifetime.
We really believe that a child’s imagination is their most precious attribute and that carries over to our “dress code” policy at the studio. In other words, we do NOT have a dress code or specific colors we need your child to wear in our Tot and Children’s Divisions. The only “requirement” we have is for our students to wear proper ballet shoes to class. Of course, most of our students prefer dancing in precious little ballet outfits (and our boys like wearing shorts and t-shirts) and luckily we have a little “boutique” where we have some of the most precious little dance dresses and skirts and more! We also carry ballet shoes because it is not the easiest to order them on line (the sizing takes a rocket scientist) … so we carry them to make your life easier.
Naturally, we want our students to wear something that allows them to move freely and that isn’t a distraction to the class. No t-rex costumes, sorry!
Our Pre-Ballet and Ballet 1 Dancers do need to wear leotards or “dance dresses” with proper shoes. However, we don’t care what color or design. Let them be creative!
If you find that a class is sold-out you will be prompted to get on a wait-list. We encourage you to try to find another class offering that works for your schedule as we can't always guarantee placement from a wait-list. However, please know that if we have enough students on a wait-list for a specific class or division we will open additional classes if the schedule permits. So, please, get on that wait-list so we can try to accommodate you and your little dancers as soon as possible.
